*Part of “A Glorious Cause: South Carolina and the American Revolution: A Public History Initiative by the Georgetown County Library,” Beth Yarbrough will take us on a virtual tour of historic buildings from the colonial and Revolutionary period in South Carolina, including homes and churches, that are in need of preservation either because they have fallen into disrepair or because they are endangered by oncoming development. Yarbrough is the author of The Grassroots Guide to Saving What Matters, a layperson’s guide to protecting historic structures in their community.
The project is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the South Carolina State Library (SCSL).
Free & open to all.
