South Carolina Interpreters Mini-Conference

The inaugural theme for the South Carolina Interpreters Mini Conference is Unearthing 250 Years of Freedom Fighting. Speakers will cover a range of topics surrounding the theme of expanding the story of America’s fight for independence to include, analyzing the contributions of Indigenous American and African-descended people, women and others related to the Revolutionary War period, Declaration of Independence, and early post-colonial period. Sessions will consider the importance of innovative, multidisciplinary approaches, detail the evolution of interpretation methods, and determine what stories are still waiting to be told.
