Berry Center 2250 SC-179, Little River, SC, United StatesSIGNIFICANCE - On May 9, 1775 – Isaac Marion, brother of Francis Marion, living at the Boundary House, on the state line just above the present-day VMHG, received word of the Battle of Lexington via a courier on horseback, and forwarded the message (aka “Lexington Alarm”) on to Charleston. This event marked the first arrival
