Please join us Monday, November 11th at 4:00 p.m. for the ribbon cutting of Georgetown’s newest mural, General Francis Marion and Oscar at Ox Swamp, 1780.  Painted by artist Tommy Simpson, the mural stretches 16 by 20 feet and is on an outside wall of The Georgetown County Museum located at 120 Broad Street.  The museum was designated the Francis Marion Interpretive Center in 2022 by the SC 250th Commission. The mural is the first element for the Francis Marion Interpretive Center which will have its grand opening on March 1, 2025.
