Voices of the Revolution Speaker Series: The Life of Andrew Pickens

The Abbeville County Chamber is excited to host a speaker series in 2026 in recognition of the 250th. The series will focus on Abbeville County's role in the Revolutionary War, highlighting the people, places, and perspectives that shaped the conflict in this backcountry district. Our first speaker will be Dr. Tim Drake, descendant of Andrew Pickens, joining us to share insights into the life of this militia leader from Abbeville who played a key role in the Southern campaign of the war.
