The Battle of Bunker Hill was one of the earliest Revolutionary battles fought in Boston, Massachusetts. Though the colonists were defeated (spoiler), this did not dishearten them; instead, it encouraged them to keep fighting against the better trained, better equipped British army because the cause was worthy.
