Join us, anytime between 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in McCaa’s Tavern at Historic Camden to try your hand at creating an indigo-dyed bandana stenciled with the liberty tree motive. This scarf is yours to take home.
The liberty tree, an elm in Boston, became a symbol of rebellion against the laws and taxes of British rule by the people living in the American colonies. The use of the symbol was a way for people to secretly reveal themselves as patriots to one another.
