*Part of “A Glorious Cause: South Carolina and the American Revolution: A Public History Initiative by the Georgetown County Library,” Paige Sawyer, Chair of the new Francis Marion Interpretive Center in Georgetown, will expound on fascinating facts about General Francis Marion. An active member of Georgetown 250, Sawyer is a popular public speaker who has operated a Revolutionary War walking tour in Georgetown for years that focuses on the exploits of the “Swamp Fox” in our area.
The project is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the South Carolina State Library (SCSL).
