SC250 and the Sumter Museum are excited to unveil the new Thomas Sumter Interpretative Center, an exhibit that focuses on the life of Thomas Sumter, both during his Revolutionary War days as well as his political life following the War. The unveiling will take place Saturday, February 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The exhibit features engaging content, interactive audio stations and more, and visitors will receive a rack card showing other Thomas Sumter related places to visit in our state.
The unveiling will include a short program in McKenzie Hall and cannon firing on the grounds to celebrate the opening. Light refreshments will be available. Following the program, guests can experience the living history portion in the backcountry and view the exhibit in the Williams Brice House.
