Voices of the Revolution Day

September 13, 2025
| 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tours | Abbeville County
Join us for a day of activities recognizing Abbeville County’s role in the American Revolution! We’ll be launching the Voices of the Revolution Exhibit at the Welcome Center, a permanent display that will feature untold stories of men, women, and children from all backgrounds–Patriot, Loyalist, African American, and Indigenous–who experienced the war in different ways. We’ll also be hosting an open house at the Templeton-Hill-Drake Cabin in Donalds (around which the Battle of Dunlop’s Defeat was fought), hosting writer Karen Petit, author of “Celebrate America! The People Declare Independence,” launching the Abbeville County 250 Committee’s Revolutionary War Driving Tour, and more!
