    The Cherokee Historical & Preservation Society, Inc. presents the 10th annual Liberation Day celebration at the Fort Thicketty historic site. Since purchasing and rehabilitating the site in 2015, the Society has commemorated its liberation by the Patriots by lowering the British flag and raising the United States flag, along with wreath laying and guest speakers.
