Step back in time and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at the SC250 Colonial Picnic, a free, family-friendly event held at Historic Hopkins Farm in Simpsonville — the very site of the Revolutionary War Battle of the Great Cane Brake!

Join us for an afternoon of living history, community, and celebration as we honor South Carolina’s role in the founding of our nation.

Guests will enjoy:
-Revolutionary War reenactors and living history demonstrations
-Interactive colonial activities, including fife & drum, quill writing, and tomahawk throwing
-Hayrides and educational tours to the Battle of the Cane Brake site
-Live music and local food trucks
-A colonial costume contest for adults and children
-Opportunities for youth engagement and community service

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones, and experience a spring afternoon filled with history, patriotism, and connection.
