What if you could attend a Revolutionary War reenactment—and discover that you are one of
the reenactors?
Southern Campaign 1780’s Liberty Live℠ turns spectators into soldiers with Battle in a Box℠,
an innovative, immersive living-history experience unlike a traditional reenactment.
Participants are divided into Patriot and Crown forces, issued period-style hats and safe replica
equipment, and transformed into militia, Continental soldiers, Loyalists, artillery crews—and
even cavalry!
Then the battle begins.
Guided by Liberty Live’s costumed interpreters, participants maneuver across the “battlefield”
as narration explains the real events unfolding around them. Infantry advances. Lines form and
break. Artillery enters the fight. Cavalry appears. Orders are given, mistakes are made, and
participants discover firsthand how leadership, terrain, tactics, confusion, and sometimes sheer
chance determined the outcome of a Revolutionary War battle.
Everything needed to create the experience—from replica flintlocks, bayonets and swords to
cannons and even our decidedly unconventional “horses”—arrives with Liberty Live.
The battlefield really does come out of the box!

theater, storytelling, movement, and plenty of fun to help audiences understand not simply
what happened during South Carolina’s Revolutionary War battles, but why it happened.
Participants don’t just watch history.
