“A Stitch In Time”

Program will include a quick overview of “Soldiers’ sewing kits” and a display of Colonial era sewing notions.

The Newberry Museum will conduct two 90-minute workshops teaching participants basic sewing skills: how to sew on a button; how to mend a hem; simple embroidery stitches.

The workshops are offered free to adults and children over the age of 10 (children between 10 and 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult).
