Learn to Make History: The 1700s

A three-week historical sewing course that combines fashion, history, museum studies, and practical garment construction.
Create your very own colonial petticoat and short gown in this hands-on historical course. Men will also have the option to sew their own cravat, undershirt, and long vest. Enjoy special guests like Mackenzie Sholtz, owner of Fig Leaf Patterns, as well as staff from the Sumter Museum to bring history to life.
Participants will also have free entry to the Sumter Museum’s Revolutionary High Tea on Saturday August 22nd at 11am.
