Patriotic Pier Days
Patriotic Pier Days is a lake-wide America250 celebration taking place June 28 – July 7, 2026 along the shores of Lake Greenwood.
Hosted by Connect Lake Greenwood in recognition of America’s 250th Anniversary and South Carolina’s SC250 initiatives, this community-driven event invites residents, businesses, marinas, restaurants, neighborhoods, and waterfront communities to decorate docks, piers, boats, waterfront gathering spaces, and businesses in patriotic Americana style.
From Carolina Day through Independence Week, Lake Greenwood will come alive with American flags, patriotic lighting, waterfront décor, boat displays, marina celebrations, and classic summer lake traditions as the community celebrates freedom, heritage, and lake life together.
Patriotic Pier Days is designed to create a visually beautiful and engaging heritage tourism experience that encourages residents and visitors to explore participating locations throughout the Lake Greenwood region.
Participation is open to homeowners, neighborhoods, businesses, marinas, restaurants, boat clubs, and community organizations. Whether it is a single American flag on a dock or a fully decorated waterfront display, all levels of participation are encouraged.
A public participation map, community awards, sponsorship opportunities, and additional event details will be released as planning continues.
