The Dorn Mill Complex began in 1899. It’s centered in McCormick & adjoining counties near 17 Revolutionary War & other historical points of interest.
The operation, driven by 2 steam engines, in addition to the Cotton Gin & Cottonseed Oil Mill, later a Grist Mill, had a Saw Mill, which furnished saw dust/shavings as fuel. The office also remains, but other structures & the water tower are gone.
