“Echoes of Glory, Heroes from the American Revolution” Panel Discussion  & video taping.  Actors’ Theater of South Carolina and the Camden Revolutionary War Visitor’s Center are joining to offer a discussion of the six men and three women in the award-winning docudrama. the Heroes covered are as follows: John Featherston (free African American marine from the Battle of Hog Island Channel in Charleston, 1775 and as a gunner at Ft. Moultrie), Daniel Morgan, (architect of the Battle of Cowpens), Rebecca Brewton Motte  (fought with Francis Marion & Henry, “Lighthorse Harry” Lee at Battle of Fort Motte), John Laurens (abolitionist Lieutenant & top aide to General Washington), Peter Harris, (Catawba warrior soldier), Emily Geiger (legendary teenage courier) Francis Marion (the Swamp Fox tells of his first combat experiences), Mary Oliver ( a generous and merciful slave lady who saves a patriot from hanging by Tories) and Captain Henry Felder. The film trailer and several clips will be screened during the event. The full film will be screened on Thursday, April 23rd.
