“Echoes of Glory, Heroes from the American Revolution” Panel Discussion & video taping. Actors’ Theater of South Carolina and the Camden Revolutionary War Visitor’s Center are joining to offer a discussion of the six men and three women in the award-winning docudrama. the Heroes covered are as follows: John Featherston (free African American marine from the Battle of Hog Island Channel in Charleston, 1775 and as a gunner at Ft. Moultrie), Daniel Morgan, (architect of the Battle of Cowpens), Rebecca Brewton Motte (fought with Francis Marion & Henry, “Lighthorse Harry” Lee at Battle of Fort Motte), John Laurens (abolitionist Lieutenant & top aide to General Washington), Peter Harris, (Catawba warrior soldier), Emily Geiger (legendary teenage courier) Francis Marion (the Swamp Fox tells of his first combat experiences), Mary Oliver ( a generous and merciful slave lady who saves a patriot from hanging by Tories) and Captain Henry Felder.
