Freedom Truck hosted by the South Carolina State Library

The South Carolina State Library will host the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-sponsored Freedom Truck. The Freedom Truck is a custom-built, fully mobile museum housed in a semi-truck, offering exhibits that bring America’s history to life in an accessible and engaging way. This two-day event is free and open to the public.

While visiting the Freedom Truck, visitors are also invited to explore the SC250 Revolutionary South Carolina Discovery Center, created by the South Carolina American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250). The SC250 Revolutionary South Carolina Discovery Center is a separate, permanent exhibit that highlights South Carolina’s pivotal role in the American Revolution. The center will be located adjacent to the Freedom Truck.
