Revolutionary War Patriotic Concert
Members of the AAA Home School Band and the South Aiken Baptist Christian School Band will be presenting Patriotic music that tells us about events connected with the Revolutionary War. The concert will start with City Lamp Lighters lighting street candles, Town Criers announcing the time; a city drummer. Our guest historian for this concert is Pete Peters who will share some of the history of Aiken with us. Music will include: “13 Original”, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Independance, Deep River Suite, and many others. A song written by Benjamin Franklin will be included. The concert is free and open to the public. Please bring your own lawn chair.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to South Aiken Baptist Church, 980 Dougherty Road.
