Meet the Author: Sarah Vowell

Columnist and New York Times bestselling author Sarah Vowell will discuss her works as part of Richland Library’s Broader Bookshelf program. The author talk will be followed by a reception, book sale, and book signing.

The Broader Bookshelf Reading Challenge encourages readers to expand their bookshelves and seek out new authors and challenging subjects. Ms. Vowell will speak about her book Lafayette in the Somewhat United States, which responds to the 2026 Broader Bookshelf prompt “Read a book about the American Revolution,” as well as the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The author talk will be moderated by Dr. Evan Faulkenbury.
