Cherokee Historical & Preservation Society will be hosting speakers lecturing on topics related to the American Revolution. The speakers include Rick Wise (Revolutionary War 101), Kathryn Smith (George Washington's 1791 Southern Tour), Aliene Humphries, Elizabeth Chew (Art and the American Revolution). Admission is free with funding in part from South Carolina Humanities.

Our speaker Fritz Hamer, a historical consultant, will be presenting on the roles of the Barnwell brothers—John, Robert, and Edward. They fought in key battles, endured imprisonment on British ships, and contributed to the establishment of the South Carolina government. Refreshments will be served.
