Revolutionary War Review Homeschool Friday – The Surrender at Yorktown

December 18 – The Battle and Surrender at Yorktown (October 19, 1781).

We will be looking at the battle, siege, and surrender at Yorktown. After a siege, the British forces surrendered on October 19, 1781. Come learn why. We’ll go over the various military units and leaders engaged in the fight as we examine the facts of the battle before, during, and after. Then, we will track how this impacted the larger course of the war.

As a part of our celebrations and remembrances during the 250th, the Anderson County Museum is adding a series to our Homeschool Friday program.

The Revolutionary War Review series will focus on several elements of the Revolutionary War and is open to all students.
